Painting your Bathroom
Let’s keep this from happening to you!
Here are some tips and tricks to protect your bathroom walls and ceilings from mold and mildew.
Run your ventilation fan each time you use the shower. It isn’t good for the condensation to sit on the ceiling and walls.
Update the wall paint from flat to eggshell on your bathroom walls. Note that if your house is newly built, it’s very likely the contractor used flat paint, and it would be best to update it ASAP before the paint is damaged.
We highly recommend Benjamin Moore’s Aura Bath & Spa for ceilings as it’s designed for high moisture areas.
Avoid using your shower for 3 days after painting to give paint the opportunity to dry thoroughly.
Keep an eye on your bathroom ceilings and walls. If you have mold growth, contact a mold professional for evaluation and restoration as there may be a leak or other issue that needs to be addressed.
